The Logo
The logo is the basic element of the visual style and, at the same time, a registered trademark. It marks the institutions and activities of the Central Bohemian Region. The rules contained in the Unified Visual Style Manual of the Central Bohemian Region regulate the logo's use.
The name of the administrative unit is in the horizontal area, with the longitudinal shape and colour division as a reminder of the traditional flags of the city and state administration. Thanks to its shape and colour, the logo is very well related to the heraldic emblem. In addition, the distinctive shape of the logo allows its further use as a backdrop for text and image information.
The primary colours are strictly defined shades of red and blue; the additional colours are grey and black. The colours of the Central Bohemia logo are based on the colours of the heraldic emblem. They also refer to the official colours of Czech statehood.
Thanks to these connotations, the visual style of the region at the same time expresses the institution's affiliation to the system of territorial administration of the Czech Republic, which significantly widens the possibilities of its use, especially in the field of foreign activities and activities within the regions of the European Union.

The visual style of the Central Bohemia Region uses as its basic font the sans-serif linear antiqua meta, designed by Erik Spiekermann in 1994. The distinct well-readable charakters and fine, economical tapering find use not only in the Central Bohemia Region logo but are also ideal for all administrative and mercantile prints, for the setting and print of the Central Bohemia Newspaper and it is also well suited for electronic presentation of information texts.
